We publish VSME Reporting and include our own tool here. The other descriptions are based on public product pages reviewed on 6 September 2026. We have not tested those products after signing in, so use this as a shortlist and confirm the features included in your chosen plan.
VSME Reporting: prepare a Basic report with guided questions
Our tool is designed for someone preparing a Basic report who wants guidance and a finished PDF. It includes an energy calculator, digital reporting files and a draft saved in your browser. It is free during early access and requires no account.
You keep supporting documents in your own company files. Shared editing, review permissions and Comprehensive reporting are not currently available. You can inspect the example report before starting.
EFRAG: use the official Excel template
EFRAG’s official resources include the template for Basic and Comprehensive reporting, guidance and a separate converter for digital reports. The spreadsheet includes calculations and checks. It is a useful option if you prefer working in Excel and managing the files yourself.
Eevery: reporting with ongoing sustainability support
Eevery describes Basic and Comprehensive reporting, guided questions, support and reuse of previous assessment answers. It is an option to explore if you want reporting alongside ongoing sustainability work. Check the support, downloads and pricing in the plan offered.
Coolset: reporting with colleagues and across frameworks
Coolset describes Basic and Comprehensive templates, data collection, task management and collaboration as part of a broader reporting platform. It may be relevant when several people or reporting frameworks are involved. Ask to see how your team would collect, review and share a report.
ExecutESG: guided reporting with additional features by plan
ExecutESG describes guided Basic reporting and an emissions calculator, with additional reporting modules and outputs across its plans. Ask which downloads and features are included, since its page discusses both free and paid options.
Try a small part of the task before committing
Use made-up company information or ask for a demonstration. You should be able to answer these questions after trying a few steps:
- Do I understand what to enter? Try an electricity bill and an employee count. Look for guidance on units and unfamiliar questions.
- Can I leave and come back? Check where your draft is saved and how to reopen it.
- Can I see what is unfinished? Find out how the tool shows missing answers and questions that need review.
- Would the finished report be useful? Read a sample PDF. Check any extra file requirements with your recipient.
- Can the right people help? If colleagues need access, ask how editing and review work in practice.
For a more involved purchase, ask the provider to demonstrate how totals are checked, where source documents are kept and how you can take your data with you.
Check the cost of finishing and updating the report
Find out whether the price includes the reporting module, downloads, users, companies and support you need. Ask what happens to your saved work when a trial or subscription ends.
